1. Information We Process
PingMaster Pro does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, account credentials, or other directly identifying information.
However, some network and device-related information may be processed when you use certain features of the app.
Network and connection information
Depending on the features you use, PingMaster Pro may process information such as:
- Your public IP address
- Network connection information
- Wi-Fi or cellular network information available to the Android system
- Internet service provider or network-related information
- IP-based approximate geographic information, when provided by a third-party IP information service
- Network performance measurements, including download speed, upload speed, latency, and related test results
This information is used to provide network diagnostics, display network information, perform speed tests, and provide related app functionality.
2. Public IP and Network Information
PingMaster Pro may contact third-party internet services to determine your public IP address and related network information.
As part of these requests, your public IP address may be transmitted to the relevant third-party service. Depending on the service, the provider may return information derived from your IP address, such as approximate geographic location, internet service provider, organization, or network information.
PingMaster Pro does not use this information to create a personal account or build a personal advertising profile.
Third-party services operate independently of PingMaster Pro and may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
3. How Speed Tests Work
When you start a speed test, PingMaster Pro exchanges network traffic with internet speed-test servers.
This network traffic is necessary to measure:
- Download speed
- Upload speed
- Latency
- Network performance and related measurements
Speed-test servers may receive your public IP address and other connection information that is normally available when communicating over the internet.
PingMaster Pro uses this information for the purpose of performing and displaying the requested network test and does not use speed-test results to create a personal advertising profile.
4. Locally Stored Information
PingMaster Pro can store speed-test history and app preferences locally on your device.
Saved history may include information such as:
- Speed-test results
- Download and upload measurements
- Latency
- Test date and time
- Other information necessary to display your test history
This locally stored history is not uploaded to a PingMaster Pro account or PingMaster Pro cloud service by the app.
You can delete saved speed-test history using the app's history controls or clear the application's stored data through Android settings.
5. Advertising and Tracking
PingMaster Pro does not contain advertising functionality.
PingMaster Pro does not intentionally use the information described in this Privacy Policy for targeted advertising, cross-app advertising tracking, or the creation of a personal advertising profile.
PingMaster Pro does not sell your information.
6. Third-Party Services
PingMaster Pro uses third-party internet services and speed-test servers to provide network-information and speed-testing functionality.
Depending on the feature being used, these third parties may process information such as:
- Public IP address
- Network connection information
- Information derived from your IP address
- Network performance information transmitted as part of a speed test
Examples of third-party services include:
- Public IP address services
- IP and network information services
- Internet speed-test servers
These providers operate independently of PingMaster Pro and may collect, use, retain, or otherwise process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
Android, your mobile carrier, Wi-Fi provider, and internet service provider may also process connection information as part of providing network connectivity and operating-system functionality.
7. Data Retention
PingMaster Pro does not maintain a PingMaster Pro cloud account containing your test history.
Speed-test history and app preferences stored by the application remain on your device unless you delete them, clear the application's stored data, or uninstall the app.
PingMaster Pro does not maintain a server-side database of your locally saved test history.
Information processed independently by third-party internet services or speed-test servers is subject to the retention practices and policies of those providers.
8. Data Security
PingMaster Pro uses HTTPS/TLS for its supported internet communications with third-party services and speed-test servers.
Locally stored application data is managed using Android's application storage mechanisms.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information over the internet or on an electronic device can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your Choices and Control
You can:
- Choose whether to use network-information features.
- Choose whether to run speed tests.
- Delete saved speed-test history through the app.
- Clear the app's stored data through Android settings.
- Uninstall PingMaster Pro at any time.
Restricting network access or certain Android permissions may prevent some features from functioning correctly.
10. Children's Privacy
PingMaster Pro does not knowingly collect directly identifying personal information from children.
The app does not require users to create an account or submit directly identifying information.
Because network communications can inherently expose information such as an IP address to internet services, parents and guardians should be aware that using internet-connected features may result in network information being processed by the relevant third-party services.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our privacy practices, third-party services, or app functionality change.
If we make material changes, this Privacy Policy will be updated with a new effective date.
We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
